"Heavenly Classics" - the name says it all! This beautiful kiosk at the Farmers Market Barker Street location contains many lovely creations that are simply "Heavenly." A variety of interesting items include artists' renderings in ready-to-frame prints and greeting cards, hand-printed towel sets all tastefully packaged for gift-giving, hand-carved wooden trinket and jewellery boxes, picture frames and mirrors, and - the piece-de-resistance - exquisite hand-made shawls and scarves ranging from 100% pure silk scarves in batiked jewel-toned to winter-weight reversible scarves made from unusual and striking fabrics in various patterns all juxtaposed in a variety of combinations. Warm acrylic and wooly fabrics are matched to colourful polyester and cottons to scarves that are sought after for their beauty, versatility and functional quality. They are indeed works of art - wearable art! Debbie, who holds a nursing degree from UNB, is now enrolled in fine arts courses at Mount Allison University and uses her artistic eye to create items that are truly and uniquely beautiful. Debbie's equally talented husband, Francois, produces all the hand-coloured wooden products done with a distinctively "Russian" style so admired by market-goers that one of his intricately carved pieces now resides in Russia where it was sent as a gift by one of their customers.
