There are sumptuous cheddars including medium and old, Skim Milk, Monterey Jack, Jalapeno, and Sheep Cheese with Sundried Tomatoes. The Irish Guiness cheese is lovely to look at and is a real treat, and the Dutch Goudas in various varieties such as Smoked or with Cracked Pepper are simply wonderful. Classic French cheeses offer Brie, Oka, and L’Eveque, and all the Italian cheeses are available including Asiago, Gorgonzola, Provolone, and Mozzarella. An interesting and rewarding venture, Codiac Cheese has been very well received by Moncton marketgoers, and their kiosk is always a busy place on Saturdays.

Love to entertain? Try these terrific cheeses – they’re great for family get-togethers, hors d’ouvres for that special party or summer fun. Tasty and nutritious, be sure to sample all the different varieties of cheeses at Codiac Cheese. Bon appétit!

Magnetic Hill Winery

Our fair province of New Brunswick is world-renowned for the natural resources that make it unique. A variety of wonderful fruit has led to special fruit products including a rich sampling of fine wines from some of the province’s finest wineries, one of the newest being the Magnetic Hill Winery. Its fine fruit wines can now be found at our area Farmers Markets in a variety of choices which include strawberry, strawberry rhubarb, and dessert raspberry – their favourite wines, and apple, pear, cherry, and blueberry for true variety. Also carrying a selection of maple products, this brand new winery, which was established in 2005, is committed to bringing the traditional bounty of the land to both fellow New Brunswickers and visitors to our region alike.

Magnetic Hill Winery is owned and operated by Jeff and Janet Everett whose boundless energy and respect for the area’s heritage has resulted in a unique marrying of a modern wine making facility with an historic 1878 home which they purchased and restored to its original splendour after over a decade of abandonment. Located at 860 Front Mountain Road, this lovely blend of Victorian and Greek Revival architecture still contains its original woodwork. Great care has been taken to retain the building’s integrity and the addition of an old-style cellar where the visitor can sample wines, relax, and enjoy the panoramic view of the City of Moncton combines the special features of a heritage site and a winery that is sure to become a tourist destination. In fact, its proximity to the Magnetic Hill Zoo and Magic Mountain Water Theme Park makes it a vital part of a one-stop location for the area’s feature attractions.

In the market for an exquisite wine to augment your meals or to share with family and friends? Visit Magnetic Hill Winery’s display at the market where you’ll find a terrific selection of wines beautifully packaged for gift-giving. For more information, call Jeff and Janet at 1-506-384-wine (9463), or drop by and visit their wonderful cellar and wine shop and enjoy a bit of New Brunswick history as well.
