Luce Mazerolle-Richard – Artist

One of our area’s finest artists, Luce Mazerolle-Richard’s table in the Festival Hall of the Marché Moncton Market is a showcase of original art that presents a distinct versatility in its ability to span the categories of realism and abstract. A gifted photographer with the studied eye of a true artist, Luce’s prints highlight our rural settings surrounding the tri-community area. Form, composition, and subject all combine to create breathtaking views of panoramic vistas and homey, country corners.

Luce’s abstract art truly exemplifies a unique vision as well as an original flair. Greeting cards, framed pictures, and unframed pieces portray Luce’s unique vision in collage. Bits of lovely and unusual fabric, decorative handmade paper, colourful threads or yarn, airy feathers, shiny beads or sequins, even painted safety pins and buttons all merge into flights of fancy akin to a tropical carnival. Perfect for gift-giving or as a special treat for oneself, it is worth a trip to the market for a visit with the extraordinary artist who is Luce Mazerolle-Richard.

A retired educator, Luce has embraced her retirement years with vigour, and her artistic endeavours have afforded her a measure of joy and healing. "When you do what you love, it is its own reward." Well said, Luce! Keep up the wonderful work! For more information on Luce and her art, visit her at the market on Saturdays, contact her at (506) 382-9014, or email her at LuceMazerich@hotmail.com and indulge in the gifts of this unique artist!
